About John

John R. Davis, PE, has over 30 years of structural engineering experience. Since joining Keast & Hood in 1998, John has achieved award-winning results on structural challenges for buildings new and old. He was named a Principal in 2017, recognizing contributions that encompass both firm and project leadership and became Partner in 2022. Architects appreciate John’s careful detailing while contractors respect his keen sense of constructability and ability to resolve field conditions with patience and creativity. He brings his meticulous attention to detail and conscientious sense of follow-through to any project on which he is involved. John regularly presents on the details and surprises inherent in preservation engineering and is a past contributor to Civil Engineering magazine. He is registered in Pennsylvania.

When away from the office, John is an avid fisherman, logging many hours in streams throughout Pennsylvania, as well as the Atlantic Ocean. On land, John enjoys brushing up on American History and hiking through the various state and national parks along the east coast.
