About Elena
Elena joined Keast & Hood in 2024 after earning her B.S. in Architectural Engineering from Drexel University with a concentration in Structural Engineering. As a structural designer, she has experience in new construction, historic preservation, and temporary structures, including scaffold, hoist, and shoring design. Her expertise includes structural modeling, analysis, and detailing across steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures. She is proficient in software such as RAM Structural System, Visual Analysis, Tedds, and Bluebeam Revu. She is also a SPRAT Level 1 certified ropes access technician which comes in use when performing facade inspections. Elena is an active member of professional organizations, including the Delaware Valley Association of Structural Engineers (DVASE), the Association for Preservation Technology (APT), and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Passionate about collaboration and continuous learning, she participates in Keast & Hood’s internal committees, contributing to knowledge-sharing and innovation in structural engineering.
Outside of work, Elena enjoys working in the pottery studio and trying out new restaurants around Philly.
