Brian N. Fertig, EIT

About Brian

Brian joined Keast & Hood in 2023 and has over 4 years of engineering experience. He has been involved in a number of projects at Keast and Hood and was responsible for the overall design and documentation of a variety of project types, educational and large renovations being the keys to his portfolio here. Examples include ongoing additions to multiple schools in Montgomery county such as Glenside Elementary and Cedarbrook Middle school as well as a large addition to Central Bucks High School in Bucks county. Brian also was involved in a new physics laboratory mezzanine on Princeton's campus and ongoing construction at the Green Acres Mall in Long Island NY. Brian realizes that with work in existing structures, there is never a typical detail and strives to design for every scenario. Detail oriented and creative, Brian strives in addressing issues both in field and at the office when existing structures are exposed and conditions are not as predicted.

Alex shares his passion for structural engineering as an adjunct professor at Drexel University where he has developed requisite accredited courses for the Architecture and Civil Engineering Departments since 2012. In that time, Alex has presented his structural engineering series for well over 800 students. Alex was recently honored with a Provost Award for Teaching Excellence and Drexel’s College of Engineering Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Award for his service to his alma mater.
